About the Speaker:

Michael Sirilla is the Director of Graduate Theology and Professor of Dogmatic and Systematic Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 2002. He earned his Ph.D. in systematic theology from The Catholic University of America. His book, The Ideal Bishop: Aquinas’s Commentaries on the Pastoral Epistles (CUA Press, 2017) is a substantive expansion of his dissertation. In addition to the theology of the episcopacy, his research interests include the theology and philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas, scholastic theology in the middle ages, ecclesiology, Christology, natural theology, and fundamental  theology. He lives in Steubenville, Ohio with his wife, Laura, and their seven children.
