Join other graduate students of the Thomistic Institute for an Intellectual Retreat!
Students will have the opportunity to attend talks about Mary, participate in Mass, attend Eucharistic Adoration, pray the Divine Office with the Dominican community, and attend socials with students and friars throughout the weekend.
Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, meals and housing will be provided free for accepted applicants. Limited travel scholarships are available upon request.

Begins with check-in from 3:00 - 4:00 pm on Friday, December 13
Concludes with check-out at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 15
Speakers:
Father John Langlois, O.P. was elected the prior of St. Gertrude in 2020. Born in Berlin, NH, he entered the Dominican Order in 1985 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1991. He holds a doctorate in Church History, and has spent most of his priestly life teaching, both at Providence College and at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. Immediately before coming to St. Gertrude, he served as President of the Pontifical Faculty at the Dominican House of Studies for seven years.
Fr. John Mark Solitario, O.P. is a coordinator for campus outreach at the Thomistic Institute. He met the nuns and friars of the Order of Preachers at the Dominican Monastery of the Mother of God in his hometown of West Springfield, MA. Their lives of Christian totality, marked by sacrifice, prayer, and preaching but above all, a supernatural goodness and joy, made a huge impact on him. After studying the liberal arts and philosophy at Christendom College and teaching high school theology as a member of Providence College’s PACT program, Father entered the Dominican novitiate in Cincinnati, OH, and went on for theological studies at the Dominican House of Studies. Following the solemn profession of religious vows, he was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in 2019. Focusing on the Universal Call to Holiness in the theology of the Spanish Dominican Juan Arintero, Fr. John Mark earned his licentiate in sacred theology in 2020.
