Description:

In this retreat, we will consider the Holy Spirit with an emphasis on His life in us and in the Church, relying on the thought and theology of St. Thomas Aquinas. God the Spirit—Love of the Father and the Son, proceeding forth from eternity—is one of the central mysteries of the faith. Yet the Spirit is little-understood. As we come to be known and loved by God, we seek also to know and love Him, so that He may dwell in us. This indwelling, the very mystery of grace, fills the soul with Gifts of knowledge, courage, and counsel. Many teachings of the Church express this Spirit’s mastery over us, and liberate us for new life in Christ, the image of the Father.

The retreat will have seminars and discussions framed by the traditional elements of a retreat. Mass and the Divine Office will be celebrated, with additional times of confession and adoration. The event is open to eligible undergraduate and graduate students and young adults. All costs of the retreat are covered with the exception of travel.
