About the speaker:

Stephen Fields, S.J. is Professor of the Philosophy of Religion and Systematic Theology in Georgetown University, Washington, DC. With degrees from Yale and Oxford, he has been visiting professor at Fordham, Santa Clara, and St Joseph's Universities. His books and articles deal with a wide range of topics, such as metaphysics, aesthetics, nature and grace, modern interpreters of Aquinas, Christian mysticism, Christianity and other religions, and recent papal thought. The undergraduates elected him to the University's most distinguished teaching award, and has served as chaplain of the campus Knights of Columbus.
